I loved the concept of this film from the very beginning. It's a story that is told without the need for dialogue and I think it's a really daring and mature piece of film-making because of that. Great central performance too.
This is a film that tackles a really topical subject area in a very intelligent way and I enjoyed the philosophical elements of the narrative. I also enjoyed supporting the film-making team to create a highly authentic and powerful action sequence. It's a film that really packs a punch.
Despite the fact that the film is about competitiveness and underhand tactics, the team that made really worked as a unit. As a result their film is very well crafted with some fantastic visual touches and moments of humour!
I really enjoyed working on this project as it's such a fabulous concept for a short film. Because their story is so simple, the film-makers had time to really work at the animation sequences and therefore make their film very entertaining to watch!
The mood of this film is really strong. The team had a very clear idea of the kind of film they wanted to make and because they kept their idea simple they had time to use post-production techniques such as colour-grading and audio mixing to create a highly evocative piece of work.
