Rachel is the co-founder of Chocolate Films. She is in charge of the production department, directs many of the films, and is instrumental in producing many of the youth and community projects.
Mark is a co-founder and director of Chocolate Films. He develops new projects and workshops and is in charge of the post-production side of the company. Mark has written and directed numerous films including the acclaimed feature documentary “Afro-Saxons” which was released in London cinemas in 2008, and the historical docs “Legacy of Hope” and “Learning from the Past”, narrated by Daniel Radcliffe and Imelda Staunton.
Ben is our Community Filmmaker and Workshop Leader with a boundless enthusiasm for the movies! With a background in drama, Ben’s particular skills are script-writing, working with actors and using music to create mood. Ben is experienced at making films with hugely diverse groups of people including nursery children, homeless teenagers, people with physical disabilities or mental health problems and older adults.
Tim works as self shooting director and editor on a variety of Chocolate Films Productions. He also acts as a workshop facilitator on Chocolate Films Educational Projects.
Kim is our Project Manager working across all of Chocolate Films productions. She is one of our trained Arts Award and ASDAN Advisors, supporting young people to attain an accreditation. She completed her MA in Human Development & Family Studies with an emphasis on Youth Development from the University of Missouri‐Columbia.
Aoife works as a self-shooting filmmaker for community/charity projects, plans and facilitates education projects and supports our production team on larger-scale films, assisting with pre and postproduction. Aoife has a Masters in Community Arts Education and is passionate about working with hard to reach community groups.
Alessandra is our Production Assistant working on everything Chocolate Films produces from the production of projects in the office to going out on shoots. She focuses on Chocolate Films’ social media, keeping our website up to date with all of our new projects, films, news, events and managing the Chocolate Films fan page on Facebook, Twitter, Flickr and YouTube channel.
Rohan works as one of our freelance workshop leaders and filmmaker, specialising in animation and photography. He enjoys teaching adults, children and those with learning difficulties.
