Chocolate Films has been invited to The Stephen Lawrence 18:18 Gala, taking place on Thursday 20th October at London Zoo in association with the Daily Mirror and our very own Ben Clough is attending on behalf of the rest of the team!
The Gala has traditionally been one of the highlights of the Trust’s calendar and this year is no exception. After a champagne reception at London Zoo guests will enjoy a three-course meal and be entertained by performances from Beverley Knight, Nathan Watson, Imagination’s Leee John and Andi Oshu (tbc). The evening will be hosted by Carrie & David Grant and look out for some novel auction prizes.
The Trust is honoured to enjoy the patronage of some of the communities most celebrated personalities and promises to be a night to remember.
At the event we will formally launch the Trust’s 18:18 Fund, conceived to coincide with the 18th anniversary of Stephen’s death, who was 18 when he died. The goal is to have as much impact in the realm of social justice as the Lawrence case has had on the criminal justice system.
Over the next 12 months The Stephen Lawrence Charitable Trust are aiming to raise £1 million for the fund to provide the engine to drive the Trust’s social justice agenda.
Having worked extensively with the SLC, we are honoured to be invited to such a honourable event. Check out some of the work we have done with this fantastic charity here.
