The Touch documentary continued its shoot, as Ana andBen went to Cologne in July, visiting Bonnhein and Mechanheim to observe how youth workers outreach to young people at risk of street violence.
The youth workers were really committed to trying all sorts of ways to engage with different groups by running boxing sessions and football tournaments which Ana and Ben were lucky enough to film. They make sure that the young people know where to find advise and support when they face difficult issues in their lives. They filmed Siberian young men that are working hard to integrate in their new community in Germany. They really loved getting trained up in boxing by a professional!
The weather was not as kind to the crew as in Graz unfortunately, and the travelling was hectic as there a three different areas in Cologne where Rheinflanke outreach to, each are one hour away from the town in the countryside regions of Cologne, however it was yet another amazing experience for Chocolate Films and the research team from Newman and everyone is looking forward to returning in September!
Take a look at some of the photos from the trip!
