On the 14th May 2011 from 10.30am - 12pm, the BFI will host a very special event - the First Light gala screening of The Great Escape films!
Since August 2010 young people from across London; the residents from Clapham Park Homes, Salesian College in Battersea and the Polish Saturday School in Chiswick, have been busy building their skills in all areas of filmmaking, such as writing, directing, producing and editing as part of The Great Escapes project. Working with experienced filmmakers from Chocolate Films, the young people have made 4 short, adventure films with various takes on the theme of 'escape'.
The four films to be screened are Escape from the Hood, Rafaels Incredible Escape, Horror at Salesian College and My Great Escape. This is an exciting opportunity for the young participants to see all their hard work on the 'big screen' on London's Southbank.
This event is free and open to the public. Please email Ally Cocksedge or call 020 7793 4287 to have your name added to the guest list.
We hope to see many of you there!
