Performance in poetry, DJ-ing and film premiere!!
Come and hear these talented and committed young people in their own words, sounds and images telling you how it is, from the pioneering course "SHAKE! Arts, Media, Race & Power" held with the Stephen Lawrence Centre in August 2010.
Also presenting will be the stellar artist-facilitators from African Writers Abroad, DJ Eric Soul from Afrogroov and our very own Ana Tovey from Chocolate Films! along side course originator Platform.
You'll have the chance to connect local issues to global through the lives and struggles of Stephen Lawrence and Ken Saro-Wiwa, and talk about the role of the artist in fighting for justice. A chance to learn more about SHAKE!, the collaborations and how its future is being planned.
